Nara Avetisyan
Nara Avetisyan
Born in Yerevan, Nara Avetisyan entered the Spendiaryan Music College in 1998 to the class of Professor Arkuhi Harutiunyan. In October 1999 Avetisyan won the Laureateship in the “Talents of the End of Century” competition.
In June 2000 Nara's first recital took place in Komitas Chamber Music Hall in Yerevan. The same year Avetisyan won Laureateship at Balys Dvarionas International Competition in Lithuania and was awarded with special prizes for the Best Performance of Baroque Work, for the Best Performance of Romantic Work and for the Youngest Competitor.
In December 2001 Avetisyan won the 1st Prize (category “A Junior”) and 2nd prize (category “A”) at the VII International Piano Competition “Konzerteum” in Greece. Since 2002 Avetisyan is a member of piano trio (teacher A. Talalyan).
In October 2003 Avetisyan won 1st Prize-Assoluto at the XXVI International Piano Competition in Agropoli (Italy). In May 2004 Avetisyan had recitals in Vienna and Munich. In 2004 she took master classes in Suzdal with Professors Roschina (piano) and Oganezova (chamber music).
Avetisyan has participated in concerts with the Yerevan Philharmonic Orchestra (2000) and Youth Chamber Orchestra (2002). Since November 2004 her teacher is pianist Professor Karine Ohanyan. Avetisyan had recitals at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall in 2005 and 2006.
In April 2006 Avetisyan participated in a concert with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra (Rachmaninov, Concerto N21 mov.). In April 2006 Avetisyan was awarded a scholarship from Konstantin Orbelian International Fund of Culture.
