Lilith Guégamian
Lilith Guégamian was born in Armenia in 1971. Guégamian moved to France at the age of 4, she started very early to be interested in the guitar and continued her musical studies until she got a golden medal at the ENM of l’Hay‐les‐Roses (national musical school of l’Hay‐les‐Roses)in the class of the master Tania Chagnot.
Then started a life of concerts and teaching…
First, guitarist in the tango quintet « Tres y dos », (with which she played in an André Téchiné’s film “Alice et Martin” with Juliette Binoche) then guitarist of the singer Céline Blasco, Lilith started in 2006 to play solo…
At the beginning constituted by solo guitar works of her own composition (published by Rubin), her program little by little started to include songs... songs from her natal Armenia, or from India, country that she likes and where she went a few times.
At the end of 2007, her first album “Eclairée par une luciole” (“Illuminated by a fire‐ fly”) was born. “Lilith’s writing is full of delicacy and imagination. Her music is a fairy‐tale...”
This first album, where Lilith’s voice appears on a few tracks only, reveals her truly as a singer... and constitutes a turning‐point: since then, her concerts are turned to singing.
In 2010, Guégamian recorded her second album “De passage” (“Passing through”): eleven songs (with Armenian, Indian and French languages!). She’s invited in 2013 to write the pieces for a national guitar concourse (Ceyzeriat 2014); she wrote, the same year, the music of a dance spectacle for children. Lilith Guegamian also teaches the guitar at the Villefranche‐sur‐Saône’s conservatory, near Lyon, and regularly performs.
