Varsenik Avanyan was born in Yerevan. Avanyan graduated from Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in 2020, vocal-theoretical faculty (Professor S. Danielyan's class). In 2005 Avanyan graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory (Postgraduate studies). Throughout 2009 in St. Petersburg she took part in master classes of famous opera singer Yelena Obraztsova.
Varsenik Avanyan has performed both in the homeland and abroad. He has had a number of solo concerts in Armenia and has regularly perrformed in the largest cities of Russia. The singer has participated in numerous festivals in Moscow, including «Festos» Youth Fest (2003) and Moscow Autumn (2006). In Armenia Avanyan performed within the framework of the "One Nation, One Culture" festival. In 2005 she preesented Bach's Arias at the Hall of Columns with the Mosfilm Orchestra, and in 2006 performed with the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra at the Moscow Music House.
Avanyan has hosted solo concerts at the Feodor Chaliapin House-Museum (2005) at Kaliningrad Mother Cathedral (2009), at the Nicosia Music Academy in Cyprus (2010) and at the Armenian Apostolic Church Primacy (2014), Klaipeda Music academy (2018). Since 2007, she has been a soloist at the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater after Alexander Spendiaryan. Notable roles include Carmen (J. Bizet's "Carmen"), Parandzem (T. Tchukhajian's "Arshak II"), Ameris (J. Verdi's "Aida"), Almast (A. Spendiarian's "Almast") "), Azucena (J. Verdi's" Troubadour "), etc., and performs solo concerts within the project " Concerts at Foyer".
In 2009, she took part in the premiere of Edward Sadoyan's contemporary opera "Hey, Who's There", starring the main character Kate. He has been a member of the «Acoustic colors» Ethno-Jazz Quartet since 2010. In 2013, the Quartet performed solo concerts in Stuttgart. In 2015, she participated at MIDEM in Cannes, both with the Quartet and the State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia. In 2019 Avanyan performed solo concerts dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Komitas and 95th anniversary of Avet Terteryan in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Klaipeda and Vilnius.
