Music of Armenia is delighted to announce the launch of Sharakan Festival, an annual festival, which, for the first time, will take place from 14 to 16 September 2016 at Tatev Monastery.

Celebrating the beauty of this unique artform, Sharakan Festival aims to preserve and promote the legacy of Armenian sacred music. For three days, Sharakan Festival will bring together musicians of all backgrounds and levels of experience in an event solely dedicated to this utmost treasured genre.

Sharakan Festival will further enhances the importance of Armenian sacred music and the impact it has had on Armenian culture in general, and will provide a platform for Armenian musicians and interested audiences to learn more about this genre and fully experience its rich and versatile music.
