AGBU Musical Armenia Program Now Accepting Applications

AGBU Musical Armenia Program

The AGBU Performing Arts Department is proud to announce that it is now accepting applications to the 2017 AGBU Musical Armenia Program (MAP), now in its sixth year. If you or someone you know is a musician or music lover, and are looking for a three-week summer adventure, strongly consider applying to MAP.

Since 2012, AGBU has welcomed participants of all heritages from the USA, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Syria, Lebanon, Japan, Sri Lanka, Qatar and France, among many others countries. Participants choosing the Full Immersion with Housing option will also be housed in the AGBU Vahe Karapetian Center with over a hundred other visitors from around the world who are participating in various AGBU summer programs.

Don't miss this opportunity to study with Yerevan's best musicians from highly respected institutions such as the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, and National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia; attend lectures on the history of Armenian music from medieval to contemporary, from dance to jazz; tour throughout Armenia; go to concerts and museums; and perform at the AGBU gala concert at the end of the program! All lectures are in Armenian and English with simultaneous translation into English to accommodate non-Armenian speakers.

Application deadline: 15 May 2017. To learn more about the program and to apply, please visit AGBU's website here.
